One theme. Four pieces that belong together. The monthly rhythm gives each edition a beginning, a few unexpected turns and something to keep.
The Unknown File
An original feature built around one good question: a listening essay, a visual study or a closer look at an overlooked corner of the catalogue. Interpretation is identified as such; factual features include sources.
The centrepiece: a proper read, with a reason to exist.
Another Listen
A guided return to one song: the entrance, the space around the voice, the small change that alters the feeling. Listening prompts and an on-page player where embedding is available.
Bring your ears. You don’t need studio knowledge.
Object / Story
A closer look at one physical thing: a sleeve, programme, cassette, photograph or pressing detail. What to notice, what can be established and what remains uncertain.
Collector interest without needing a collector’s budget.
The Quiet Image
One original MODE UNKNOWN digital artwork connected to the edition’s theme, with a short note on the idea behind it. A personal-use image to keep, rather than another item to scroll past.

Occasional notes from the making of MODE UNKNOWN: an image that changed direction, a detail cut from a feature, or the thinking behind a red thread. A view into the creative work as it develops.
The Listening Room
A proposed space for member memories and interpretations. Where were you when a song found you? Which line, sound or image stayed? Contributions would be moderated and published with permission.
You choose the next question.
A member vote between a small shortlist of future features. Help steer the research towards something you want to understand, revisit or see brought to life.
The After-hours Quiz
An occasional challenge for the detail hunters, with explanations after the answers. Something to enjoy and learn from, without needing a public leaderboard.
These are planned extras. The Monthly Folio is the core offering; the club should feel worthwhile without promising a daily stream of updates.

An independent Depeche Mode podcast. Shared through sound.
STRIPPED brings together fans, musicians, producers, photographers, writers and collaborators for honest, audio-only conversations about the music, the work around it and the moments people still carry.
No camera. No video. Just a conversation. You do not need broadcasting experience or a polished pitch. Bring the story only you can tell.
The coming-soon trailer is live now. Written answers, voice notes and relaxed remote audio conversations are all welcome. Nothing is published without speaking to you first.

What does my £4.99 support?
The research, writing, artwork and care behind a themed monthly edition. The aim is a small collection you want to finish and revisit.
How do I cancel?
Sign in to your member account and choose “Manage subscription / cancel”. Cancel before the next renewal to stop future payments; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
Will the public site still matter?
Absolutely. The public articles, creative collections and fan features remain central to MODE UNKNOWN. The club adds a deeper monthly experience alongside them.
Is this official Depeche Mode membership?
No. MODE UNKNOWN is an independent, unofficial fan project. Membership does not include band access, concert tickets, official recordings or official merchandise.
