In Your Room: a sleeve waiting for two more discs
The original UK CD packaging was designed to become a small collection.
An object with room to grow
The original UK In Your Room CD came in a foldout digipak designed to hold the accompanying LCD and XLCD editions, according to the official archive. The release family combined remixes with live tracks from Liévin in 1993. The packaging made the relationship between editions physical: one purchase could leave spaces for the others. [1]

When collecting meant completing a shape
Streaming can place the tracks together instantly, but it does not reproduce the moment of opening a sleeve designed for missing discs. That is our interpretation of the object’s appeal: anticipation becomes part of the design. If you own the set, unfold it while you listen. If you do not, try arranging the music in those separate chapters. The underlying pleasure is following relationships, not proving ownership.
